I try to draw and paint from life as much as possible. I enjoy trying to capture moments in our fleeting time here in this world with a variety of mediums. Café and “urban” sketching with a ballpoint pen, plein air oil painting, charcoal/graphite portrait and figure studies are all part of my repertoire. My current enthusiasm is gouache – a tricky opaque cousin of watercolor that has a solid history in the illustration world.

I count myself very fortunate to have the Drawing Studio here in town! I am a member and a regular attendee at the Friday morning long pose and Tuesday evening portrait sessions.

My other hat is that of a local physician. I have lived in Guilford VT since 2000.
